Mr. Rutherford is semi-retired and lives in Lawrence County. Before retiring, he worked for 32 years with a local cooperative, along with raising cotton, soybeans, cattle and broilers. He has been on the association board since 1990 and has served as chairman since 1995. Mr. Rutherford serves on the Texas Farm Credit District Stockholders' Advisory Committee, the district benefits administrative committee for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas and the Farm Credit Benefit Alliance plan sponsor committee, which services both AgFirst Bank and the Farm Credit Bank of Texas. In addition, he serves on the Tenth District Farm Credit Council board, the National Farm Credit Council board and the Farm Credit Council Services board. Mr. Rutherford owns and operates JRL Inc., a construction and development company in Moulton, Ala.
Matthew J. Christjohn, DVM

Dr. Christjohn is the owner and operator of Large Animal Veterinary Services, a practice concentrating on farm animals — mainly cattle and horses. The business serves Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Oklahoma. Dr. Christjohn received his animal and dairy science degree and his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Auburn University and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. In addition to his business, he owns and operates a 360-acre cattle farm in Wedowee, Ala. Dr. Christjohn is a member of the American and Alabama Veterinary Medical Associations, Society for Theriogenology, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, Academy of Veterinary Consultants, National Cattleman's Beef Association, and the Alabama and Florida Cattlemen's Association. He is a member of the association's audit committee.
John P. Adams, CPA

Mr. Adams is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years' experience in public accounting. He is a partner in a local accounting firm in Decatur, Ala. Mr. Adams received his bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives. Mr. Adams is the chairman of the association's audit committee.
Danny R. Baugh

Danny Ray Baugh

Mr. Baugh is retired from Albertville Municipal Utilities Board with 30 years' service. He has 277 acres in Marshall County and farms cattle, poultry and hay. He has eight broiler houses and operates 200 head of cow-calf. He has over 22 years of farming experience. Mr. Baugh is a member of the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association and the Alabama Cattlemen's Association.

Hugh C. Harris

An attorney in Cullman, Mr. Harris has been practicing law since 1976. He is a partner in the law firm of Bland, Harris & McClellan P.C. He also owns and operates a hay and cattle farm in Cullman County and has farmed for more than 50 years. Mr. Harris is a director for the East Cullman Water Board and a board member for Channel 27, a low-power television station. He is also a member of the Alabama and Cullman County Bar Associations, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Alabama and Cullman County Cattlemen's Associations.
Larry Don McGee

A full-time poultry and cattle farmer from Jackson County, Mr. McGee manages a herd of approximately 200 brood cows and three pullet houses with a capacity of 21,000 pullets. He has been the owner/operator of L&D Farms for over 27 years and also owns and operates 500 acres in Jackson and DeKalb counties. He is a director for the Sand Mountain-Lake Guntersville Watershed and the Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District board, and is a member of DeKalb County Cattlemen's Association and the Alabama Poultry & Egg Association. He serves on the association's audit committee.
James Stewart McGill

Mr. McGill is the owner and operator of McGill Farms. McGill Farms is an approximately 515-acre row crop operation in Madison County that produces wheat, soybeans and corn. Additionally, Mr. McGill is the Operations Manager of Tate Farms Row Crop and Agritourism Management and an agent with Tate Crop Insurance. Mr. McGill is a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation — Young Farmers.
Benny N. Smith

Mr. Smith is retired from Synergy Gas Company after 33 years as a route salesman. He operates an approximately 100-acre cattle and poultry farm in Etowah County. Mr. Smith has a herd of about 50 brood cows, along with a broiler contract from Pilgrims Poultry Company that has a capacity of up to 110,000 broilers. He has been in the poultry business for more than 46 years. Mr. Smith is a member of the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association, the Alabama Cattlemen's Association and a director of Cherokee County Electric Cooperative. Mr. Smith serves on the association’s compensation committee.
