Young Farmers Advisory Board
The Young Farmers Advisory Board is made up of members and non-members of Alabama Farm Credit, from across the state, who have a strong interest in agriculture. The board embodies the mission, vision, and values of Alabama Farm Credit to protect agriculture in Alabama for generations to come.
Our Purpose
As an agricultural lender, Alabama Farm Credit established its Young Farmers Advisory Board to engage, enable, and elevate young producers and those seeking to gain a foothold in the world agricultural community.
Our Goal
To establish an open dialogue between Alabama Farm Credit and Young Farmers
To learn about innovative marketing, technological development, and management strategies
To create a lasting network of Young Farmers
To provide Alabama Farm Credit with invaluable insight to the needs of Young, Beginning, and Small Farmers
To develop an ambassadorship to forge new relationships
YFAB Director Requirements
Serve on a 2-year term in a paid board seat
Fully participate in 4 meetings, tours, or educational workshops per year
Participate in one community project during the term
Represent Alabama Farm Credit and the Young Farmers Advisory Board at agricultural events during the term
